You might still be calculating how you're going to afford all the concerts you want to go to this Spring/Summer...how's that going? Well now AMC Theaters will be charging new prices similar to how concert tickets are tiered. This new plan that is reportedly called Sightline will have 3 tiers of ticket prices with the seats closer to the screen being the cheapest, seats up high as the next level and the middle most wanted seats with the best views of the big screen will be the most expensive, since they're considered the 'preferred' seats. AMC Theaters has movie houses all over the country and plans to apparently start rolling this out this weekend at their theaters in NY, Chicago and Kansas City, with plans to have it in all theaters sooner than later. Movie lovers have jumped on their socials to complain reminding the theater chain that it's ridiculous to introduce this type of ticket tiered pricing. Although the world knows movie theaters and movie companies were hit hard during the pandemic, this is really not the most well thought out move to make us want to come back to the theaters or increase ticket sales. Would you pay a higher ticket price to sit in the 'preferred seats'?
