Back in the day when I was young (I'm not a kid anymore) we had the original 92.1 The Beat--all Hip-Hop, all day. And I mean the grimey, street-level stuff, too. It was great. I was teamed up with DJ Joe Supa who was niiiccce with it (Joe, where you at???). And we broke a lot of records. A lot. And one we were lucky enough to help break was Clipse's "Grindin'." It was a good time for us, a good time for radio, and a good time for VA. And since Pusha T dropped his new album "Daytona" (fire by the way) and all of the Pusha vs. Drake stuff has been happening, it reminded me of this item that I'm sharing in the video.
