Back in 1775, the brand new United States established the Continental Marines... which would later become the United States Marine Corps.
I did not serve in the military... I do have family members that did. Including my nephew who joined the United States Marine Corps... I was so proud of him for making that commitment. It's something that I know I couldn't do. We went up as a family to watch him graduate from Boot Camp. The graduation ceremony was awesome to watch but I never really thought about what actual Boot Camp was like. You see it in the movies, but is that what it's like in real life? I found this video from 2014 that shows what the first hours of Marine Corps Life is like... Not sure if it's changed since then... but WOW...
Happy Birthday to the USMC and thank you for all that you do!
