Happy Halloween, Hampton Roads!
As you get ready to get the kids dressed in their best costumes for tonight here's some Halloween housekeeping Hampton Roads edition:
- Only knock on doors with the porch light on.
- Trick-or-Treating hours:
- Norfolk: Sundown to 8 p.m.
- Virginia Beach: Dusk to 8 p.m.
- Chesapeake: 6-8 p.m.
- Portsmouth: No specified start time, ends at 8 p.m.
- Suffolk: Dusk to 8 p.m
- Gloucester County: 6-8:30 p.m.
- Hampton: Dusk to 8 p.m.
- Newport News: Dusk to 8 p.m.
- Williamsburg and James City County: 6-8 p.m.
- York County: 6-8 p.m.
- If you are in Chesapeake, the Trick-or-Treating age limit was raised to 14 and under in 2019 (Yay for the kiddies!).
- Cities other than Chesapeake the Trick-or-Treating age limit is 12 and under.
- Watch for kids crossing the street in neighborhoods.
- Do not go into any houses!
