Today we're mourning the loss of another great, TV icon, Alex Trebek. After five decades of hosting the hit game show, Jeopardy, his battle with stage four pancreatic cancer ended early Sunday morning with family bedside.
He announced his diagnosis in March of 2019 and was committed to fighting back. In a statement released he said, "Just like 50,000 other people in the United States each year, this week, I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer," he said, "Now, normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I’m going to fight this, and I’m going to keep working, ”. He did just that! Being that his cancer was advanced, according to Trebek, his chances of living for a second year were only 7%, but he did not let that discourage him from continuing to fight that battle.

Jeopardy will continue to air until December 25th. His last episode filmed in studio was October 29th.
