After 20 years in Macarthur Mall, Nordstrom has decided to close it doors permanently 4/5 end of day.
"Looking at the needs in these markets and the investments needed to sustain these stores, we decided it made the most sense to close these stores and focus on other ways we can best serve our customers, including nearby Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores as well as online," according to president of Nordstrom stores, Jamie Nordstrom.
Get what you can while you can! And Nordstrom isn't the first store to announce it's closing. Yankee Candle (end of January), Aveda (end of January), Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn which haven't confirmed their exact close dates, but did advise once their lease is up, they're out.
Sounds like a lot of space and opportunity is coming to downtown Norfolk.
