Nearly 2 weeks ago, Eli Lilly announced it was SLASHING prices of Insulin for all who need it. This comes after President Joe Biden signed into law that Insulin would cost no more than $35 for those on Medicare in 2022 (thanks to the Senate and House for passing). Eli Lilly was under pressure from nearly everyone, including POTUS, to drop prices for those without Medicare. They did cave, thankfully.
Breaking news today has another company slashing prices up to 75% for insulin! Novo Nordisk A/S is one of the largest sellers of insulin and say their U.S. List price will drop up to 75% for all patients! This is a MASSIVE win for folks who can pay upwards of $600 per refill of their insulin. This is life changing and saving! Pressure is now on for all makers to get their act together.
