These Sussex County Farm Markets Are Open, Offer Curbside Pickup

Amid the COVID-19 outbreak local farm markets are giving residents an alternative to the grocery store. Some are even offering curbside pickup, delivery and online ordering to make the process quick and with as little human contact as possible. According to the New Jersey Herald, these are the local farm markets that are open:

Andersen Farms in Sparta, NJ - Open for social-distancing-friendly shopping, curbside pickup and delivery within 15-mile radius for a $5 charge. Can opt for front-door drop off. Hours are 9 am to 6 pm except for Sunday they're open from 11 am to 5 pm and delivery is not available on Sundays. They have milk, cheeses, produce, eggs, frozen and fresh meats, breads, candies, fresh-baked pies from Clove Brook Market and Holland America Bakery, gluten-free items, perennial plants and gifts available. Donaldson Farms in Hackettstown, NJ - Open for curbside pickup. Hours are Mondays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm and closed Tuesdays. They have dairy items, eggs, produce, meats, cheeses, local honey and other specialty items available. Also has exclusive hours for seniors, the disabled and those who are immune-compromised on Wednesdays from from 11 a.m. to 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm to 5 pm. Call 908-852-9122.

Ideal Farm and Garden in Lafayette, NJ - Open for curbside pickup and delivery within a 10-mile radius for a $5 charge. Hours are 9 am to 6 pm on Thursdays and limited weekend hours. Springhouse Creamery in Fredon, NJ - Open with a self-service honor stand where customers can shop and pay by cash, with hand sanitizer and wipes provided. They have farm-fresh milk, chocolate milk on certain days, a line of cheeses, eggs, yogurt, meats and pasta. Call 973-296-9568.

Tranquility Farms in Green, NJ - Open 8:30 am to 7pm daily with call-ahead ordering and online ordering is coming soon. They have milk, eggs, jams and jellies, bread, rolls, pies, cookies, the store’s own beef and pork, farm-fresh ice cream, flowers and more. Call 908-979-0303.

Windy Brow Farms in Fredon, NJ - Open for online shopping and socially-distant pickup. Orders must be in by 3pm for next day pickup and pickup is only available right now on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
