Santa Nearly Falls Off Float During Disneyland Parade

Ho ho oh no!

Santa Claus nearly had to activate the Santa Clause over the weekend after the jolly ol' elf tumbled off his sleigh during the Disneyland's "A Christmas Fantasy Parade" in Anaheim, California during an awkward and scary moment.

Video posted to social media showed one of the final floats featuring Santa moving down Main Street USA at Disneyland resort in Southern California, when a suspension apparatus that appears to support the float broke, tipping Santa over, nearly tossing him out of his seat.

Santa's sleigh is mounted on the float between two support beams, one on either side. When one of the beams broke, the sleigh rotated forward, tossing Santa down in a scary moment.

Fortunately, St. Nick was strapped in for his ride (always remember to put on your seatbelts kids!), so he wasn't thrown to the ground or hurt. Witnesses say Santa remained a good sport about his situation as he remained stranded in mid-air for a portion of the parade. Santa's little helpers (and park personnel) were able to bring him down safely within a few minutes.

The parade continued down Main Street with the float finishing the route, since there was no other place where the massive unit could exit.

Santa made it back for the next day's Christmas parade - although he was riding on a different float.

In case you were wondering, this is what Disneyland's "A Christmas Fantasy" parade is supposed to look like:
