Mr. Vegas at Origami

Clifford Smith, better known as Mr. Vegas, started out as a covers artist, before making his break in the dance-hall and reggae industry. Mr. Vegas (born in 1974) rose to prominence with his version of the notable “Playground” riddim, "Nike Air", hailing from Kingston, Jamaica. His solo work immediately became popular in Jamaica, taking on the task of writing lyrics with socio-political messages, as well as themes of popular culture. His music is only getting more and more successful. A live performance will show his passion and drive. Marking his arrival on the Billboard 200, the rapper and toaster released his third studio album “Pull Up”, which peaked at No. 98. After signing with Universal Records in 2006, Smith released the full-length “Hot It Up” in 2007, led by the singles “Hot Wuk”, “Taxi Fare”, and “Tek Weh Yuhself”. November 9 come out to Origami and see Mr. Vegas perform live!
